Where do you get the 'offer for the free download with purchase'?

Is it only after you "Add to Cart" and go into the purchase procedure?

I never got an email either but I called customer service at (800) 577-6642 and got the $139.95 upgrade price without any problem.

I lodged a question via the Support page on the 11th. It is now the 14th and still no reply. Maybe all staff are busy answering phone calls. :(

Same here, didn't get anything and when I clicked on all the links above and on purchase upgrade still got the regular price. Called Customer support (800) 577-6642, placed my order and the agent sent me the email w/ the SN. Good to go in 20 minutes.

I too lodged a question but have not yet received a reply. However since I have Vegas 9 Pro I tracked down the code on the SCS Facebook page, logged into my SCS account, entered the code and then was able to purchase at $139 plus the choice of freebie.

I have dealt with customer service before and they always get back to me even if it takes a couple of days so if you can hang on I'm sure they'll answer.

Yep. Facebook is the way to go. Worked like a charm. I've got my email with serial numbers, now all I need to do is to get stuck into it.

I went the "email customer support" route. Less than 24 hours and I'm up and running with 10.

Just wanted to report that the link "TLF" posted worked like a charm for me. All I had to do was copy and paste the link into my browser. I saw the discounted price immediately and placed my order after entering my serial number.

I never did receive the original email from SCS nor a response to my support email concerning the discount (which, of course, is moot at this point).

Regardless, thanks for that link!

TLF. The Last Frontier.

C'mon, admit it, you're a Trekkie.

Same here.....would like to take advantage of this promo....but being logged in, serial #'s showing in software....I get the $239 price also....and no email.

Any help appreciated.

Did you try the link TLF posted 5 posts above yours? That worked for me.

It worked for me too. Don't wait for an email that might never come.

On my prefs page I had noticed I had at some point disabled emails from SCS.
I emailed them to ask to put me back on the list and send me the upgrade email and they did within 48 hours (FWIW).

I'm beginning to wonder how many who can't seem to see the 'deal' are looking at cached pages. Maybe F5 might help?
i6pwr wrote on 10/15/2010, 7:05 PM
Yes the link worked, thanks.

One note for those who are still planing on using this offer. When you get to the "freebies", the Particle Illusion offer is only for 6 months, it's more an extended trial version than a freebie.
I am TRYING to get Sony to let me swap out for one of the really free ones. If not, it's okay, very happy with version 10, especially for$139.

So here's my theory about why I do not see the $139 pricing (even tho I'm logged in and have several qualifying serial numbers registered): I've been upgrading since Vegas Video 3.0. I think it's looking at the first "Vegas" in the list, and seeing that it's not a Pro version (even tho I have Vegas Pro 8 & 9 registered just fine). But my upgrade offer states:

"Upgrade to Vegas Pro 10 from Vegas -- From US$239.95"

Note it says "...from Vegas" not "...from Vegas Pro."

That's my theory. I guess I'll call Customer Service. :-)

That might indeed be so. My oldest entry is Vegas Studio but I also have Vegas Pro 9 in the list. I only got the lower price by using the link mentioned before.

That may be true cause I was only seeing $239 as well and I have a lot of the older items.

Once I clicked the posted link, the offer for $139 was available, when purchasing, a dialog popped up asking for a serial - entered it and I was good to go...

Anyway, thanks Sony for what looks like a really nice upgrade - especially coming from Pro v8 (aka Black Vid)

I'm actually enthused about editing video again (I just installed the Huffy lossless codec on my Win7 box for the first time, which says a lot me not editing video in a LONG time!)

I'm very surprised it's not posted at the top of the forum - as I remember it's been posted there in the past when an upgrade became available - there's still a link to 9e up there but nothing about 10a?

The Facebook link worked for me... here it is.

http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/upgrade/vegaspro?keycode=64390

It seems to me that the Facebook link includes the keycode... so maybe that did the trick for me.

I am trying to purchase from either an e-mail sent by Sony or the My Account Software page.
The software page says I am entitled to Vegas Pro 10 for $139.95 yesterday so I click Buy Now and it shows the Download option for $139.95. When I add it to the shopping basket it always changes to $239.95 and no opportunity is provided to select the free additional software. What do I have to do to get the right price and the freebie?
I sent this question to support and have not had a reply.
My interest in upgrading is being sorely tested. I have wasted about 2 hours trying to get this to work from two emails, links on this forum and through my software page upgrade section.
Does Sony really not want my money that badly?

If you are logged in, and go to the top header of this page and hover on "Purchase" then go down to where it says "Upgrades", it should take you to the Online Store. The second item down "Upgrade to Vegas Pro 10 from Vegas" click on "add to cart". Should take you to their Online Store upgrade download page. Underneath "Purchase Options" click on the little circle to the left of "Vegas Pro (Downloads)" then on the right click on "Add to cart", this should bring up a screen that says, "Qualifying Serial Number" which would be from a previous version you are upgrading from, (go into My Accounts to retrieve your serial number) and you should be good to go.
