Does anybody know what the upload limit is on Sundance.

PictureWall.zip is 2503k which I suspect might be too big.

Alan,

Don't know about the limit at the Sundance site, but if you want to email me the file (I wanna try it out anyway!) I can post it on my site at least until you sort something else out. It will probably be up there for years...

my email

now removed for my own peace of mind! :)

As soon as it's up there I'll post a link so everyone can download it.

Grazie and anyone else who was after Alan's picture wall - you can now download it from this link:

AlanC's PictureWall Program

and I can tell you right now it does exactly what it says on the tin - Grazie this should work a treat for your project.

ALAN! Your are a BLEEDIN' Star!

Thank you thank you . . this means I can get on with the idea I had . . I'm gonna get it up on Chienworks site within the next hours or so . . the quality wont be the best for Kelly's site . . . . But you WILL see what I was about . .yeah?

Suffice it to say that the piece will use something like 400 images repeated on six sides equalling 2400 images in total - BRILLIANT!

Thank you . . ..

"ALAN! Your are a BLEEDIN' Star!"

That's the kind of praise I like!

2,400 WOW. Imagine having to cut & paste that lot.

I'm so relieved that it does what you wanted. Good luck with the project and thanks again to Mike (ibliss) without who's help we couldn't have got this off the ground.

Great news Grazie,

I thought you may have been having problems with the programme.
Grazie wrote on 3/22/2004, 6:30 AM
Nope! - I could do with getting the picutres to NOT flicker . . but I guess that's an easy one . . . .

AlanC, I also downloaded PictureWall. Thanks for sharing a useful little program. It's quick and easy. Thanks again.

Thanks for the thanks 2Road

I have just sent ibliss version 0.4 which contains several improvements including the option to 'build' the wall double the screen size.

This doubles the image resolution which helps if you want to zoom in via Vegas.

I don't know if ibliss has access to his website during working hours but I'm sure he will post here as and when it's available.

How about a link to where I can find version .4? Thanks, Darryl
ibliss wrote on 3/24/2004, 10:56 AM
Sorry it's taken me so long to update the download - I was so tired yesterday that I didn't get round to checking for updates on the forums :)

anyway, the 0.4 version is now up at the same web location as before:

http://www.aqsz10.dsl.pipex.com/digital_media/picture_wall.htm

The file name is the same (picturewall.zip) but it is the new version, honest!

THis is an amzing tiny programme. I've just recently created a box/cube with 400 jpegs on each side. That makes a total of 2400 images.! Okay the programme doesn't do the Cube thing . .but this easy tool makes life a lot easier when wishing to make large Picture Walls.

Thanks to Alan and to you Ibliss for "hosting" this - Grazie

I'll chime in with my thanks as well to Alan and Ibliss. This is a very cool script. I'm just gearing up for its first real use. Darryl
