So glad you are finding it useful.

0.5 will be along soon. Much the same as 0.4 but allows loading images from multiple folders. Saves you having to copy all images into one folder before loading into the app.

Great program. I think the multiple folder option that you will include in the next option is the only way that it can improve, thus, the next version will be perfect! Amazing.
thanks,

Thanks Carson.

Yep, I can't think of anything else to add or improve other than the name. I'm still not happy with 'PictureWall' so if anybody has any good suggestions then I will implement in 0.5 and that should be the final cut!

Alan:
I'm getting an error dialog that says: "Paintwall: Error 481 loading images".
Im'm using version 0.4 and loaded 17 images and selected a 10x10 matrix. Maybe I've got a not too standard JPEG image? PictureWall only shows 12 of the pictures, I'll try to see which one is causing the error and maybe email it to you?
Greettings.

Hi cacher

Error 481 is an invalid picture. If you need to use that picture then try loading into Paint or similar and if you can load it then save it with a different name.

If you are able to do that then the renamed picture should load into PictureWall.

The two names that pop into my mind are first of all - Mosaic, and also Collage. You could add something to either like...Mosaic Masterpiece Maker or Cool Collage Creator. Sorry, I can't avoid the alliterations! Whatever you choose the program is fun. It adds a nice effect to use it for a background, or make a cube like Grazie or anything else. Thanks again for spending the time to create this.

Cacher, was it an invaild picture?

Grazie, you could have done 13 x 13 then 'painted' over the 156 images that you didn't want to show. This would retain the aspect ratio.

Carson, thanks for the suggestions. I thought of 'Graf ET' (grafiti) but I'm not convinced.

Carson said " I think the multiple folder option that you will include in the next option is the only way that it can improve..."

Anybody want BORDERS?

I just sent 0.5 over to ibliss. It includes loading images from multiple folders and an option to add a border to each image in the 'wall'. Select the border thickness (1 to 10) and the colour and the programme does the rest.

Ibliss will probably post here when it's available from his site.

I had actually thought of that this morning when I saw the same thing on tv. I thought that instead of bugging you to put that into it, I would just use a macro in photoshop to put a border on them all. But now! Thanks a million, that will be easier than creating a macro. Once again, thanks for your effort into making this.

I just need to say I have never seen or used a better forum than this. The people here are just about the best bunch of brains you can find on the net. In fact, you are the essence of one of the core ideas about Internet - sharing and getting together where ever you are. And now you can add our friend Satish's latest contribution to the books. You guys restore my hope in humanity. :)

Hi Tom

"This makes it easy to e-mail a few sample frames"... I never thought of that. What a great idea and I suppose it's an easy way to print several pics on one page as well.

Actually the 'double screen size' is incorrect. I should have labelled it quad screen size because that's what it actually is.

Alan

2 x the screen width and 2 x the screen height is the maximum permitted in Windows.

I think you are suggesting further options to give 2 x 1 and 1 x 2 instead of just the 1 x 1 and 2 x 2.

If so, and if enough people want it, I'm sure it won't be difficult to add.

Alan
