@Former user Apart from Revision FX Deflicker I also applied curves effect, LUT effect, FBMWhite Balance effect and color correction effect, that's why also these plugin slowed down the efficiency of rendering, but in my opinion little efficient is Revision FX Deflicker if we compare these effects applied.

Give it a quick test and you'll see, and also get a better assessment...... There obviously will be a trial watermark but it will not obstruct your viewing of the finished result.

Firstly -- shutter speed adjustment is NOT always the solution as a few here have written. At a recent stage production, for instance, we could visible see the flickering on the upstage cyc -- just that human eye will ignore it way better than video cameras. On film it looks horrible and annoying. And yes -- I played with all sorts of shutter speeds very quickly when I saw this at the event, but nothing would stop the flickering -- it literally was flickering in-house.

Second -- agreed on Vegas DeFlick -- created horrible ghosting. (in my case)

I tried BorisFX DeFlicker which has worked well in spot fixes in the past -- but could not get a good result.

What is working *perfectly* for me is Neat Video's capability to remove flickering. It literally removed 99% of the flickering background with NO noticeable image artifacts. Added bonus is the rest of the NeatVideo processing which cleaned up a bit of video noise too.... highly recommend this solution.

@Former user Yesterday I launched rendering with Revision FX Deflicker. The result video is 44 minutes. The rendering on my PC took about 17 hours, but the result effect was very very good. I am glad of this plugin.

@Former user Today I do some other tests.

1) Firsty, I rendered raw video with the these plugins I mentioned one of the previous posts, but without Revision FX Deflicker. The result video was 18 minutes

2) Then I import the result 18 minutes video file from 1) and apply only Reivison FX Deflicker and the rendering took more 3 hours

I can add that I rendered 1) to HEVC 4K but most of the the raw partial videos file was 4:4:2 10bits LOG 200 Mbps bitrate, so the result video file from 1) has much lower bitrate than 200 Mbps.

@marcinzm there are those times when certain plugins that I had to pay for, saved my project. I've used some of them only once, but to me, that justified the price and the results.

@Reyfox I decided to purchase this plugin, because of the following things:

1) I wanted bride and groom to be happy and glad of the video I made for them

2) I didn`t want to give them a sh....

3) I always place emphasis on quality

4) And the most valuable thing: I know that the problem was because of the band who were playing on wedding party and they had bad quality LEDs. My exposure was ok (I think that I didn`t switch settings to bad exposure, because these bad settings should have been wrong for all wedding party, but they were ok on the end of the wedding party). I want to do next weddings for other brides and grooms and I know the problem with flickering can reocurr, that's why I think I can use this plugin more than once in the future. If it was a private video and I wouldn't do videos for commercials I think I wouldn't buy this plugin.

When I was watching a result video on PC monitor which is rather huge (but not as big as my TV set) I saw that the video content after plugin apply is perfect. There were no artificats, bandings and flickering. But when I watched the same result video on 4K 65 inch TV set, I saw that the picture is not as perfect as on PC monitor. I saw little artificats on the edges of moving humans.

I investigated which lamps causes the issue. Some YouTuber which also has Sony FX3 told me that he is changing shutter speed when he see flickering on the monitor preview. But I use gimbal and I don`t use monitor preview on the wedding. I am not sure if I would able to see the flickering on LOG raw video content on camera preview. I think that I wouldn't differ flickering against flash blinking from lights which are normal thing. I am very sad, because I think if I would change shutter speed when I wouldn`t be sure of it I would do some more raw video content damage than if I would not apply shutter speed change.

Can you advise me what I should do? Change shutter speed even if I am not sure or always apply this flickering remove plugin which causes little artifcats on big screen.

@marcinzm I'm not sure I can help outside of possibly viewing with the monitor for a few moments to see what is going on. I know that's tough with event/weddings because things are happening "now" and have to be recorded "now", which leaves more work in post. How bad are the artifacts? Are you delivering in 4K? Find a place that will allow you to shoot with your LOG profile and have LED's.

The results are excellent. I was watching on my 4K monitor. And as for the artifacts, I don't see them. We editors see all these small "mistakes", how a cut/transition is not "perfect", or how the framing could have been better. I often talk about this with another editor. But the people who the edited video go to look differently than we do. They will see the people and the event along with the moments that will bring smile to their faces today and tomorrow.

As I wrote before, I have plugins that I used only once, but they saved the video, so it was worth it.

Thank you. I will see the brdige and groom in two weeks, so if they will call me back after watching movie, I think that they will see artificats, but if they don`t call me back, then it means, everything is ok.

Do you know on what they will be viewing the wedding on? 4K or 1080?
