BMD Decklink and 50p

It seems that VP14 can't handle 50p preview on external monitor via a BMD Decklink 4K Extreme card.

I'm using this card with Vegas and Resolve, in this last one 50p external preview works fine, but in Vegas playback is jerky, only changing Project framerate to 25p I can get a fluid external preview.

Anyone has similar experience with BMD Decklink cards?

Ciao

Have a read of this thread, where megabit describes some Decklink problems: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/what-s-up-with-t-l-playback-speed--104538/

Also take a look at this post. There are a lot of things you can try to make your playback smoother. https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-can-i-make-my-video-preview-play-smoothly-in-vegas-pro--104624/

Thanks Nick, anyway the problem is not to have a smoother playback, I know how to manage project properties, preferences and system to achieve this (I'm using Vegas from long time so far), the problem is the way how Vegas handles Decklink cards.

In a 50p project, turning on the external preview via Decklink card, I have smooth playback on internal preview but jerky on external monitor, so the problem is not playback problem due system performance, but something wrong in the Decklink driver inside Vegas.

I'm investigating more on this problem with different media type, but it would be useful to have some feedback from other Decklink users if they can reproduce or not this behaviour.

Thanks

I also use my Decklink 12G mainly in Resolve, where it works great. In VP 14 I have slightly different problems the the OP - playback through Decklink isn't jerky at all (even at 50 fps); just slows VP down dramatically (including the preview widow).
