⚠️ (Bug Alert!) Copy and paste attributes.

m3lquixd wrote on 3/11/2023, 1:02 PM

There is a bug when pasting attributes. In the video below I show that when we copy and paste the attributes for just one event everything goes well. However, when we are going to paste in several event it shows several plugins as if they were from each selected event, and it should only show the plugins of the event that I copied, so I can choose which plugins I want to paste.

Hi, there

I don't think it's a bug.

It shows the list of all plugin events going to be pasted onto the target tracks, so it lets you choose which track receives the plugin item in the clipboard.

If it showed only the source plugins in clipboard (3 plugins) like you expected, you wouldn't be able to select pasting options for each destination track. For ex;

fx1 and fx2 on to track 2

fx2 and fx3 on to track 3

fx1 and fx3 on to track 4

etc...

It's a feature,not a bug :)

I think the only missing thing in this feaure is that it doesn't indicate which item is going to be pasted to which track. It just lists them in scroll down box with track order, without any tags or title names. Tags showing the target track numbers would be very helpful I guess.

Yes, that is a bug.

Ideally, if it is designed to be customizable for multiple targets, it should be listed like this:

---------------------------------------------
to Event 1:
☑ S_Warp
☑ VEGAS Color Corrector
---------------------------------------------
to Event 2:
☑ S_Warp
☑ VEGAS Color Corrector
---------------------------------------------
to Event 3:
☑ S_Warp
☑ VEGAS Color Corrector
---------------------------------------------

@lan-mLMC I think in the window, you could have this description "Event 1, Event 2, etc" like you showed, it would be more organized. And I think it should *also* have the option to choose only which source effects you want to apply to *all*. Because if we were to copy into several events, it's kind of frustrating to have to uncheck several checkboxes.
