Can't use screen capture option?

Hello,

I just downloaded the trial version of Vegas Pro to test it out before buying the actual software. But I've immediately hit an issue with it. When I open the screen capture window (Vegas Capture), the only video source it offers for recording from is the TriDef SmartCam program, which I don't even own and would prefer not to have to download. Is there any way to simply record my own computer screen through the Vegas Capture program? I looked up a tutorial on youtube and on the VegasCreativeSoftware website, and both showed being able to record from your screen directly in the Vegas Capture window. What am I missing?

If it helps, I'm using Windows 10 and my computer has an Intel Core i7 processor.

First show us a screenshot of your complete screen - a picture always says more.

The VEGAS Capture app does not do well at capturing all screens. Did you get VEGAS Stream? It will capture your screen for you. Or you can use some other application such as OBS for that purpose.

Be sure to select your video sources in the Video Capture Window. Look for the words "video sources"

I've had no problems using Video Capture (screen capture) with Windows 10.
