Still the same. Im pretty sure there is a bug in VEGAS Effects (FXhome). Because when I was editing in that programme some FX like Pixel Sort doesnt behave correctly. it glitched out the preview. Only after restarting the software it fixed that glitched preview. (Media become small in scale to 30% ish, with giant green screen appear out of nowhere filling half of the preview window, thats not how pixel sort supposed to work)
Also seems like the system, integration between VEGAS Pro & VEGAS Effects is the main problem. It will work at first glance, but once the VEGFX start to pile up the editing, VEGAS Pro will just kick the file out and show an error missing file or cant be import at all. Now it affecting my entire project that contain VEGFX.
I reset VEGAS Pro, still the same. I notice when I click VEGFX in VEGAS Pro media pool/exporer tab, VP will freeze and it try to launch something in BG app, I can see like an app appear split sec in task bar before VP decided to not allowed me to import the VEGFX. I think it has something to do with some kind of connector that @lan-mLMC trying to say.
Can that vegfx be open by VEGAS Effects correctly?
Existing VEGAS Pro project with working VEGFX will open just fine.
If "infected" VEGFX that can't be import into VEGAS Pro will automatically affected the entire VEGAS Pro project that contain VEGFX even tho it's working just fine before hand

How many VEGFX items in that current project that affected whole on your case?

This video might help u & VEGAS Team see the problem I'm facing.
I notices if the edit I made in VEGFX is SIMPLE, the project will run just fine between 2 software.
but once the VEGFX timeline getting complex with few medias, composite, Adjustment layer, motion track, matte etc VEGAS Pro will just kick the file out as missing file or that VEGFX will be infected & cant render at all.
Yes, can open but then I cant export. Render crash
Ok - assuming a bad project file.... something that 'block' the output process...
Now wondering if there is any way to 'rescue' this project to new VE project...
Need to do 'copy-paste' the composition layers to new project.
Other way, try in new blank project of VE, in media tab, Import Composite shot.
Still the same, regardless how many new VP project I created, that entire VEGFX wont be imported into VP. I even switch the main Comp inside VEGFX to see maybe the other Comp will save the entire VEGFX project but nope. It just affect the whole entire VEGFX.

The VEGFX file is around 3.73mb
3 video clip is being used
It's still smaller file size than mine...
And this one is crazy: almost 120 total video layers of online choir project: 1 main comp + 5 sub composition
But all media source has been converted to Magix Intermediate.
Is it possible that XAVC-S source media you are working on is 'not quite friendly' format to VEGAS Effects? 😕

I even transcode the clip & replace in VE, still the same. I used voukoder H264 template.
Magix Intermediate is crazy big in file size. Not very efficient for real world editing
I understand the file size will going crazy... well, I don't like it either - but needed to do that for my case (to prevent being locked up in VP18 itself).
(1080-25p)
But let's try sampling only to your 3 'affected' video clips and try replace it...
If replaced to Magix Intermediate then working.... - we might found the possible bug problem.

I render all 3 clip with Magix Intermediate 4K 25FPS HQ template.
Same result. Crash upon rendering. It has nothing to do with file type/codec. Its the software itself unable to work/integrate properly. Also last time @lan-mLMC show his VE file io thingy use "VEGAS" path while mine use "FXHome" path.
