@ADinosaur : "Hold the U key to temporarily ungroup clip" Well, that got me thinking MACROS. . .
Using my MACRO Feature on my Contour Shuttle Pro, I've done a One First Press Button To Ungroup and then Same Button to regroup. This allows me time to keep my fingers OFF of both the KB and the CSP!
Hold the U key to temporarily ungroup clips - Often I want to have audio continue running after I cut the video for a clip. I ungroup the clip and drag the edges where I want. Then I re-group the clip by selecting both audio and video and pressing G so that I can move around the clip. Being able to just hold the U key to make the adjustment and then when done releasing the key leaving the clip grouped would save a ton of clicks.
"Shift+drag edge of event ignores event grouping so you can trim audio and video events independently."
@ADinosaur : "Hold the L key to temporarily turn off/on ripple edit" - And NOW - LOL - I've now swap that same CSP button for this Ripple option . . seessh..

Wait. Are you saying you created a macro to make this work? Can you explain how?
Vegas Pro 16 is superb. It would be nice, though, if there were some sort of provision for LUT previewing in the application. I utilize VisionColor's LUT packages in conjunction with their LUT plugin in Vegas.
Make Samplitude and Samplitude Studio a round tripper in Vegas
I thought that this was already available via Options/Preferences/Audio/Preferred Audio Editor.
However, only one audio editor can be selected via this option which involves selecting the .exe file in Program Files. I would really like to see the Preferred Audio Editor to have a drop down menu which allows for a range of personally selected audio editor options (e.g. Sound Forge SpectraLayers, Samplitude, iZotope options like RX, etc) so you don't have to go and do an .exe file search every time you want to change the audio editor.
I wish there was a way to produce slow motion effects using optical flow motion estimation from within Vegas. Currently we have to use third party solutions, which adds unnecessary costs to Vegas (nowadays even some consumer products come with this option). Also, it would be great if Vegas could not only import LUTs but also save them, as found in Magix Video Pro X and other softwares. I truly believe that both novelties would add value to Vegas, a factor that would please present users and attract new ones.
I agree with what Nick says. Squash all bugs, maintain and improve stability, and improved video and audio noise reduction options. I would like to see the Chroma Keyer improved too. But other than that, just keep it alive and improving in general.
Fix the bugs or incorporate an automatic debugger that pops up and tells you what the problem is. For example: "Video card driver not compatible with Vegas", "Third party (specific) not compatible with Vegas".
Nest sequences or multiple timelines.I wish that vegas will be more stable and userfriendly.
You can already Nest sequences and have been able to since well before Magix took over. Just drag a .Veg file onto a new timline and it will be nested.
The great thing about Vegas is that it lets you do this and have multiple instances of the program open because you really don't want
