Copy protection

Hello all, I am releasing a multi cam concert DVD done entirely in Vegas/DVD A with 5.1 and all the bells and whistles. My question is, Is there a way to copy protect my DVD's so that they cannot be pirated. I looked everywhere and have not seen anything. With the booming bootleg market I feel I need to protect my work. Any Ideas??

I think you may be the first one in line to become a licensee of many hundreds. I read an article from Macrovision to say that they have 413 licensees for their ACP product.

I fear that the cost of collecting this money and handling all these accounts might overwhelm Macrovision. Perhaps they will take electronic money? They need to spend time and invest some resources onto this, and quick.

Steve, if you can, please try and determine that as long as you pay them for each disc you make and don't destroy that has Macrovision ACP/APS on it. That they don't actually mind how you made the disc in the first place. That would be another piece of information to excite Sony into putting this technology into DVD-A, if they aren't already on this track.

I want to use DVDR Macrovision ACP. I don't particularly care to become a licensee, but I would like a receipt trail for those discs I pay to have this protection upon.

Seems odd to have a security company being told by its public about a new revenue stream!
