Crashing Upon Import

TheRetroReplay wrote on 1/19/2018, 12:58 PM

So I'm running Vegas Pro 14 Build 270 64-Bit and working on a project, I have 12 video files that I need to import and I got the first 10 imported with little issue (crashed a few times building peaks). But every single time I go to import one of the last 2 files, it crashes. I try a new project and go to import one of those 2 files, crashes. All 12 files are 1080p 60fps and are .ts files, I don't get why Vegas is doing it for the last 2 files when the first 10 went in just fine, I've changed nothing. Does it just not like those files? I try to drag and drop, the second that file touches Vegas, crash. I go to import, my mouse hovers over it, fine, once I click, crash. What is going on?

I'm having the same problem in vegas 12 and Vegas 15 (build 416). I'm importing a .TS file from my plex server and it crashes.

any updates on this?

thanks leon

@Leon-Zetekoff have you thought about or considered using something like 'Video_TS to MP4' to convert your problem .ts files? Maybe you are already doing this as a work around.

This is the error report and that says nothing about the info of your used files.
To get an idea about a possible reason we need the MediaInfo of those extra difficult files. See this faq:https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-to-post-mediainfo-and-vegas-pro-file-properties--104561/

GM...I converted the .TS --> .MP4 which took quite awhile but I have been successful in editing the .MP4. Need to find out why .TS (mpg2) crashes.

Thanks leon
