I assume you mean John's solution with Parent Motion to zoom in and out?

When I try that I don't see the problem of the mask (grid) being cut off. The only problem is image quality (resolution) when you zoom too far in.

John's solution is to create different projects with differents size, no need parent and child relation

@east

I'm glad you completed your project. It looks good. I'm still mulling on how to make the Parent / Child methodology work and maintaining Full HD for every step.

Thanks John. I tried to find a solution but without success. It is true that with your method, the final video does not have the optimal quality but I do not see any other alternatives. Thanks for your time.

Maybe someone have new solution with vegas 17, how to make comics presentation without losing video quality ?

To maintain the image quality the grid template will have to be sized to accommodate each frame or event in its native resolution (big). For example a 4x4 1920x1080 grid will need to be a PNG that is 7680x4320 which is divided into four sections. I've done something similar but on a smaller scale using film strip effect and the film strip scrolls across the screen.

The green area is the 1920x1080 frame and the film strip and pictures is 3x bigger, outside the frame. Basically using the Ken Burns effect, the frame can stop at any film strip photo and transition to a moving vid.

I have 2x4 thumbnails in my template. So, if I undestand, I create (2x1920) + (4x1080) = 3840 px x 4320 px template. I created 3960 x 4520 with margins between thumbnails. The problem is when I zoom and unzoom, my template is cut off
