Create Text Preset - Vegas Pro

Mark82 wrote on 1/30/2023, 4:36 PM

I have a text animation, several actually; they are currently .veg files. I have been copying the tracks from the text animation source file and pasting them into my project file. Looking for an easier way to add them to current projects. Is there a way to save these as a preset or something similar?

Right, for saving "text generated media".

Here is what I have, I am guessing an Adobe version of a title animation template but for Vegas. Have acquired or made several of these.

I am either copying the tracks from this to my main project or editing the text here and rendering it and then inserting that render as a piece of media. For some other unknown reason, the displacement map does not copy and paste with the rest of the tracks.

If the text that you are copying and pasting into your Vegas Pro project is in a Vegas Pro project, you could try nesting the animation project into your main project or render to a video file with alpha channel.

Thanks, I will try this out. Using these veg files as templates and editing them then rendering works, just trying to find a way to be more efficient. Thanks for the advice.

@Mark82 Create your animations using ProType Titler. It allows you to save animation presets.

Enable in: Options>Preferences>Deprecated Features>Enable ProType Titler

Here is a video tutorial about the tool.
