Custom Transitions

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I didn't spy any posts on it.

Does anyone know if it is possible to create custom transitions for easy drag-and-drop usage, like the usual ones already built into SVP? While most of these are good for regular usage, I have some special situations where I'd like to use a different design. As a simple example, having one's own logo as a transition design (think Star Wipes.)

Appreciate any feedback. If this is possible, and you're aware of any tutorials on both how to create them and import them, I'd love to know! Would help take my creations to the next level, I think! I happen to use SVP 15, if that helps.

You can save every custom transition adjustment by entering a new name in the "Preset" field of the transition window and clicking on the Save icon. Later just recall from that dropdown-menu.

Also with the "Gradient Wipe" transition you can load custom made gradient mask picture files which then are used as transition base. This combined with saved presets are are quite free to build any kind of custom transitions.

About a Billion years ago - I exaggerate - there was a freebie trans ion creator that would take your Graphic and use it. Now, who remembers? 😯

I haven't had a chance to test the second half of this, but even just the first part is very, very helpful. I don't know how I missed that Save icon in transitions!

I'll applaud the day when we can have 'favourite' transitions and FX..!

you can create animated masks = transit on Ferrari > check the end of clip< and save them as veg files then use the veg file as transitions = anything can be a transition like a light leak for example

add fx to the existing standard Vegas transition can also give you some extra creativity
