Cyan in my fades

Hi All,

Little stumped on how to fix an issue. I have an interview that uses 5 camera positions and I've cut it together using the multi-camera editing view. Now I've gone back and done my color correction. We were working with new cameras, and some of the color was bad. To get everything to where I wanted it visually I've used a combination of LAB adjust, Brit&Cont, & Color Corrector.

The issue is that now when there is a fade from one clip to another it appears to be fading through CYAN. If I turn off the LAB adjust, the issue is gone, but so is the color correction.

Any tips on how to fix the issue while leaving the LAB adjust on? I'm feeling more than just a little stumped here.

Thanks everyone!

Is the LAB an event effect or do you use it as a track effect?

Track effect, so it effects all the footage from that camera

"I've used a combination of LAB adjust, Brit&Cont, & Color Corrector."

Have you tried changing the order of operation?

...as in rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

Well I moved all the "deck chairs"... the Titanic still sank :-(

Watching the issue more closely, it appears almost like the transition is like a "fade through color "x" ". I've only used LAB on 2 of my 5 tracks. When transitioning between those two tracks the "cyan effect" is compounded.

I'm totally flummoxed at this point.

How much cyan are we talking about? This much?

Here's a sample...

If it is added as a track efffect, then it would affect the transitions as well. I would add it either as an event effect or in the media pool.

Nice thought. I'll do in in the media pool.

Thanks!
