@Vito-Amorelli Hi, don't use the direct to YT upload, use YT's page to upload videos.. Sorry I can't go into further details & I don't think you'll get much response from forum members because they don't use it, simply put - don't use that direct option.

That's what I usually do. But I have found out that YT compresses the file cause the music to not be as sharp and clear as Pre-Uploads. It has to do with the codec that is used by the video creation software not matching what YT seems to want. That's why I was trying a direct upload to see if it had any effect on the file...thanks

@Vito-Amorelli Hi, I don't think it will make a difference, YT will process the video/audio however it wants once it's delivered. The link in VP is simply a link to YT.

Can how YT processes video or audio once uploaded be changed?

Google AI -

No, you cannot change how YouTube processes video or audio once it's uploaded.

No, you cannot change how YouTube processes your audio file after it has been uploaded and processed for things like compression,

PS. I'd try searching what YT does like & try matching that ...?

Yes..the problem is that none of the video editing software has that codec..everything else is fine..videos..all OK...strictly the music. Even though we mix to the proper LUTs I have utilized Nero, Movie STudio 16.0 Platnuim, MS CliupChamp, I even utilized the very first MOvie Maker from way back in the ice age of MS WIndows, all paramaters are met except the codec. No one seemd to add that to their export/movie making choices. The only package that I have not yet tried because I don't want to buy it unless I know for certain they have it is Davinci Resolve. I emailed them through their website but no response.

@Vito-Amorelli I don't know much about audio but I believe @Reyfox has the paid for version of Davinci Resolve

The only package that I have not yet tried because I don't want to buy it unless I know for certain they have it is Davinci Resolve.

There is a well spec'd free version of DaVinci Resolve:

https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve

... but creating a Blackmagic Design account is required

Though a few years old, the following 3rd party website gives a rundown of the differences at the time between the free and paid versions of DR:

https://artgrid.io/insights/davinci-resolve-free-vs-studio/

The following image is of the YT default render settings in DaVinci Resolve Studio 20.2.2 (paid version):

AAC is the only Audio Codec choice.

I should add that I don't know whether or not Resolve allows a direct upload to YT.

@Vito-Amorelli

At present, we don't know exactly what video and audio codec you are uploading to Youtube. Please follow the instructions in this post and share the Mediainfo report for one of your videos that you are uploading (use text in a code block).

Some experienced Youtube Uploader should be able to give you a workaround.

It's possible that the level of your audio is triggering an unnecessary and avoidable re-compression. Does your version of Movie Studio have the ability to Generate a Loudness Log?

If you have the option to export from Movie Studio with a lossless (or near lossless) video codec and PCM audio, you could easily encode the file to match Youtube's upload requirement with Shutter Encoder. Once we know more about your environment, we can help with any external encoding settings.

I weant to thank all who have responded. There are some that are things I have not tried and most I have. I didn't list the various test codecs I have used because there are a lot between 4 different editing softwares. But I have enough info now that I will close this..I have copied all the links provided...again thanks...if interested..you can check out the videos..on my YT channel..but keep in mind its only the music videos, not the travel or the fostering or family videos.,,again thanks all..Now I have to figure out how to close the question...haha
