I’m rendering videos at MAGIX AVC/AAC MP4 and I dont know if it’s the same as MainConcept AVC/AAC I need it but I don’t know where to find it. I tried looking for it and tried looking for Internal option on but I can’t find internal option on Prefrences Can someone help me?

Mainconcept is one of the choices under MagixAVC, click on the template to find it.

Assuming that you may mean the “Legacy” Mainconcept encoder ...

@Eddie-Valentin7330 Hi Eddie, hold down the Shift key then mouse click on "Options", "Internal then appears at the bottom of the menu list.

After you change it from FALSE to TRUE in Internals, even though there is no message to that affect, you have to close VP18, then start VP18 again. I appears directly under the Magix AVC render items.

Same applies when disabling it, a restart is required for it to go away. I think a message should appear reminding user to close and re-start.

@Eddie-Valentin7330 Just to add to JN's comment, some of the steps are missing in his instructions (blame it on the lack of being able to got to concerts, major sports events and favorite watering hole in this pandemic era...) Go to Options first then hold shift and click on Preferences. Choose Internal and write Legacy in the ''Show only prefs containing'' box at the bottom. To change FALSE to TRUE, just choose the appropriate box and write TRUE. And like JN wrote, don't forget to restart. Cheers !

"Go to Options first then hold shift and click on Preferences. "

That's the first step for Vegas Pro versions before 18. With Vegas Pro 18 the first step JN- described is correct.

@Marco Mea Culpa. My bad.

But is all this playing with Preferences necessary when as RogerS pointed out it's an option in the MagixAVC template. Does this not achieve the same result?

Legacy anything is not enabled anywhere on my systems and contemporary MainConcept encoding is available in the latest build of v18 in Magix/AVC presets and encoder choices.
