One bug that just keeps coming back every time you start an older version, is this strange tick-box that has absolutely no effect at all. Anyone want to guess what it s there for?
It works, but only for that particular ad. To get rid of all promotions, disable Newsfeed in preferences.

I never saw any popups. Check add or remove programs for other Magix apps and delete if any exist.
Hmmm therein lies the rub...I have a bunch of old Magix products I keep for legacy reasons - older projects I do not want to redo in my new platform of choice. And Magix is a nightmare for their activation checks. But yes I do look forward to the day I can wipe them all out finally, when I no longer need to go back.
I'm not telling you to delete all your old Magix programs but there may be one that only serves ads or updates. I forget what it was called as I never had it installed- I just use the plain Vegas installer from this forum and had 15-19 installed simultaneously for a while.
@DesertSweeper Look for Magix Connect or maybe just Connect in your installed apps. But be careful as there may be a MS app called Connect.
Gratitude! I do have Magic "connect" and others I don't think I use like "Magix network Sync" and "Cloud Import" and "Content and Soundpools". Anyhow "connect is now gone" - will monitor it for a few days and report back for a "Tag as solution" to those who helped!
