File>Render as... crashes issues ( #renderascrash )

I read this issue more often here in this forum, and few times at Facebook groups.

In my ASUS ROG system, this happened regularly as well which I assume probably caused from my source type, but apparently it also happened on doing other editing, and for my workaround, like @fr0sty suggested here and this always works to me:

As for the render as crashes, this is how I got around them when I was having them a year or so ago...

Start a new, blank project. Drop any media on the timeline, I usually use text or generated media from the media generator tab.

Select render as. You should see the render dialog box appear. Close it.

Now open your project you are trying to render, without exiting vegas. It should render properly now.

Of course, this is annoying me and all of you, and developers are trying to solve this issue as well and I have sending regular report of crashes with special word of my identity in these reports. However, just my thought this (my) morning, I would like 'invite' other users who have similar problem, when also facing this problem and have that crash dialog box (PRS Report) appear, I suggest leaving your username there and #renderascrash hashtag.

Hopefully, by these additional crashes data reports, the developers able to find out the pattern and finally solve this annoying issue.

From Instagram's #hashtag ideas, starting to think of similar collaborated crash reports with additional hashtag for other type same crashes - one unique word for that type of crash. Hopefully by doing this way, developers may able to solve any problem faster.

User Dave-Shoe suggest:

I went to BIOS, de-selected Nvidia Optimus (changes workstation from Nvidia/Intel GPU autoselect to Nvidia-only GPU), rebooted, and "Render as.." now gets to the "Formats/Templates" window without crash. I suspect this has fixed the problem. To summarize: I think my failure was singularly associated with Nvidia's older Optimus software not being compatible between my aged workstation and Vegas Pro 18, and I need to unselect Optimus in BIOS which runs the Nvidia GPU full-time for Vegas Pro 18. I can live with this.
