Happy Otter Scripts for Vegas Pro

Now available for purchase--Happy Otter Scripts (HOS), a set of tools for users of Vegas Pro. The aim of HOS is to create a bridge from Vegas to open source tools for rendering and filtering.

A few of its features:
--supports Vegas Pro versions 12-21
--dockable dedicated toolbars
--direct video rendering using x264 and x265 encoders
--support for QuickSync, NVENC, and VCE
--command line access to most encoder features for advanced users
--support for audio encoding using Frauenhofer and Nero codecs
--easy access to Avisynth and VirtualDub filters including:
   -resizing and uprezzing to HD and UHD with choice of resizer
   -temporal noise filtering using motion vector techniques
   -frame rate changes using motion vector tools
   -slow motion Fx (up to 10x) using motion vector techniques
   -fisheye removal for wide angle video sources such as GoPro
   -high quality deinterlacing using QTGMC
   -image stabilization using the venerable Deshaker
--apply filters to events, loop region, regions or entire project
--frame accurate video trimming for long-GOP formats such as mp4, m2ts, etc.
--dedicated audio trim and render
--GPU-assisted proxy creation and rapid switching between original and proxy
--media rewrapping and transcoding of formats not easily imported into Vegas
--non-destructive editing of graphic and audio timeline events using external editors
--prerender Fx with choice of codecs, how added to timeline, and immediate split-screen preview

I hope so, although I suspect it will require changes. Since I haven't haven't had access to the new BorisFX version, I really can't say at this moment. I do have an account on the new forum and will post when further info is available. Thanks for asking.

@wwaag There are fewer trial limitations in VP2026, so you could dive in and probably find out what you need to: https://forum.borisfx.com/t/about-trials-for-vegas-pro/21208/2

I tried to run HOS in V2026 it had the menu options but not the required other stuff. I tried Render+.

I have not reinstalled HOS to see in case it messed up my V23/V22 install which I use all the time. (It can't find the licence info when in Boris V2026).

Good news. Just downloaded the trial version of Vegas for testing. As far as I can tell from my initial testing with just Render+, only minor changes will be required to get HOS working again. I did manage to get R+ working as shown below, which is probably the most used script. So hopefully, I can get a new build sometime later this week since I depart on a 4 week holiday to the UK and Iceland next week.
