Issues after install, help!

Version of VEGAS Pro: 22.0.0.93

Version of Windows - Windows 10

Exact graphics card - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti

Just got a new (second hand) computer recently, and installed the trial of Vegas Pro 22.0.0.98. I managed to run the application once and edit a full video, render and then close the application. I then closed the computer down for the night.

Upon trying to reload Vegas, I noticed it opened an install window before going to the splash loading screen. It loaded through to "Creating windows" before giving me the dreaded "Vegas has encountered a problem" window.

`Extra Information` `File: C:\Users\Dad\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\22.0\gpu_video_x64.log` `File: C:\Users\Dad\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\22.0\fileio_x64.log` `File: C:\Users\Dad\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\22.0\persist.prefs` `File:` `File: C:\Users\Dad\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\22.0\dx_video_grovel_x64.log` `File: C:\Users\Dad\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\22.0\svfx_video_grovel_x64.log` `File: C:\Users\Dad\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\22.0\ocio_x64.log` `File: C:\Users\Dad\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\22.0\dx_grovel_x64.log` `File: C:\Users\Dad\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\22.0\vst_grovel.log` `File: C:\Users\Dad\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\22.0\vegas_script_x64.log` `Problem Description` `Application Name: VEGAS Pro` `Application Version: Version 22.0 (Build 93)` `Fault Process Details` `Process Path: C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 22.0\vegas220.exe` `Process Version: Version 22.0 (Build 93)` `Process Description: VEGAS Pro` `Process Image Date: 2024-07-23 (Tue Jul 23) 08:02:32`

I uninstalled the trial, and have attempted to install the trial version again, however every time I load it up, its going to the activation screen, but when I put in the trial details it is still crashing at the same point. I've managed to upload a video of what is happening:

If I can get the trial working, I'm very much in the mindset of buying the full program, but I need to know it's working before dropping that kind of money.

Thank you to anyone who can help me with this, I very much appreciate it

That crashing error is probably stemming from an issue with your GPU Graphics card, there is a conflict with it and Vegas Pro..... Try upgrading your graphics card with the latest driver, if you have the latest driver, try rolling back to the previous version and see what happens. It's very hard to tell you exactly what is causing your issue, we can only offer suggestions and hoping one helps.

It seems there is an update available for my GFX Card, so I’m going to try that! If not I’ll see what it’s saying.

Uninstalling might not have gotten rid of the settings you put in the 1st time or all the cached data from your previous usage, some of which might have gotten corrupted. Try starting Vegas with the control and shift keys held down till you get the reset screen and check the box.
