The old wisdom: 80% of the users use only 20% of the possibilities of a software.
I am a notable exception: I use a maximum of 10%.......😂

@RogerS I have quite a few fonts on my pc, i was just going through them & found this, it's transparent text & will only write in capitals but adjust the tracking & the boxes join up to make a background, maybe you could find a TrueType Font that's more suitable,

@joelsonforte.br I've always used regular "text" for subtitling. I didn't know Vegasaur had this feature, and it's right under my noise on VP19's toolbar! Man... having only one functioning brain cell left is challenging when there is so much to learn. I'll have to look further into Vegasaur that is already installed on my computer!

Thanks!

@Reyfox

80% of my work involves subtitling, so I have to know as much as possible about the subject. Vegasaur has been my lifeline in this process. LOL

@RogerS

This feature can also be used directly when importing external subtitles into the Vegas Pro timeline using Vegasaur.

@gary-rebholz

The current Vegas system uses Regions to create subtitles and it is only possible to export subtitles from these regions in .sub and .txt formats using the script Export Region as Subtitles

A new script or option to export text events (Titles&Texts) as subtitles in .srt and .sub formats (.sub is to DVD Architect) would be very useful and valuable for users who work with subtitles.

100% agreed on text events to SRT files as multiple languages and closed captioning is pretty standard on platforms like YouTube these days.
