This is how you migrate your Sony Vegas Pro Windows Layouts to VEGAS Pro 14.0:
In Windows:
Copy your *.VegasWindowLayout files from:
%APPDATA%\Sony\Vegas Pro\13.0 (or 12.0 etc.)
to
%APPDATA%\VEGAS Pro\14.0
Then In VEGAS Pro 14.0:
(1) Choose View | Windows Layouts | Organize Layouts... (All of the layouts you copied will show up in the list on the left...)
(2) Press the "Assign ->" button to assign these to the <EMPTY> layouts in the right column
(3) Press OK

Agreed, likewise keyboard layouts, project properties templates (clumsy method here), pan/crop presets, and possibly others. Even the old Sony Preset Manager 2.0 can't help us with VP14, although the Vegasaur "Vegas Presets Manager" should be able to help with some of it (and they already have compatibility with VP13 in version 3.0).
This procedure is still working to get windows layouts from VP15 to VP16. From VP14 onwards the folders are at %APPDATA%\Roaming\VEGAS Pro\1X.0\
I would like to see new versions of Vegas automatically pick up windows layouts from the last installed version, or provide an easier way to migrate them.
