Imported dash cam footage runs double speed

bdg wrote on 4/13/2017, 4:01 PM

Any ideas on how to get my dash cam footage to run at the correct speed? It is a .mov file from a DOD LS460W dash cam supposedly recording 30fps at NTSC - but it runs twice as fast as it should in Vegas. I checked the "use video properties" when importing. I can get it to run at the correct speed by using a velocity envelope set to 50% but this puts the sound sync wrong.

Frame rate mode is flagged as "Constant". That would be good if it worked correctly. Next, I'd try rewrapping to .mp4 using this procedure so Vegas decodes it natively instead of using Quicktime. Do you have Quicktime loaded?

Are your Project Properties set like this?

Resolved thankyou. I used XMedia Recode to create an .mp4 and everything works fine in Vegas now.
