jumping through the timeline to certain timestamps

Using Vegas Pro 20, build 214, on a Windows 11 with 64 gig ram and nVidia 3080.

I need sometime jump to a certain point on the timeline, more specific a point where a text start or a music begins. My workaround now is to go through the timeline untill I find the spot I need. Sometimes will this last a long time.

In the past I worke with Premiere Elements and in that program you could directly jump to a position.

I am sure this should be possible in Vegas too but I can´t find this feature.

I apologize for my English I am Dutch,

thank for reading,

Allie.

@AllieB Press M when the play head is at the place. This puts a marker with a number in it When you want to jump to this point, just press the number key.

My system
Dell XPS 8700 (I know, it's a little outdated, but it handles VP20 quite well)
Windows 10 Home (x64)
3.1 GHz Intel Core i5-4440
16GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti display adapter
System drive Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB

Camcorder
SONY Handycam HDR-XR550VE

If I understand you correctly, the easiest way to do this is to set a "marker" and name it accordingly.
If the focus is on the timeline, this is easily done by pressing the "M" key on the keyboard.
To jump from one marker to another, press Ctrl+Arrow right or left.
Jack was faster.......
