I signed the petition. I hope others do too. We can't really expect those who haven't upgraded to VP13 yet to do so in such an uncertain situation.
I definitely found VP13 to be very stable and it works well with all my plugins such as the new BCC 10 and Twixtor. Try the VP13 demo and then upgrade if it's more stable. Try to overlook the lack of really significant new features as I did and think of the upgrade as more about continuity and ongoing support for the product. On that basis I think it's worth upgrading to VP13. Whether this will sway Sony's development of Vegas I'm not sure but at least signing the petition gets our views out there.
It is unlikely that for a worldwide marketplace - Sony would not even blink if there were 50,000 signatures. Just does not add up to marketplace motivation.
Yes, I agree VideoITGuy. There's probably ten of thousands of users that use Vegas that don't even know about this because they are not part of the forum or Vegas communities.
This is the only forum I read on a daily basis. I'm subscribed to only 2 other forums that I don't even access on a regular basis. If any of the software, i use, should go away tomorrow I wouldn't have a clue until I check for an update or something.
If Vegas 14 were to be released I'd pick it up because it's part of my every other version upgrade cycle.
Conservatively, I'd say multiply what ever number in the petition by x100 and that would be an approx user base.
