I signed - it's certainly worth a try. I just wish someone at Sony would remove the gag and let the community know their intentions.

Signed but the goal is 500 signatures.
I think we'd really need at least 50,000.

As I read, the donation has nothing to do with this petition for Vegas.
The makers of the petition website seem to be asking it.

Paying that site wouldn't boost the rescue of Vegas.

Signed, though I doubt it will have any impact.

I do find it interesting that in the absence of any communication from Sony -- a condition which has been on-going for many years -- the assumption is that 13 will be the last version to be seen.

The writing was on the wall when the Sony bean counters laid off half the Sony Software programmers years ago including the main dude who was the ace programmer. It's been downhill ever since.

John Rofrano's comment elsewhere was interesting - if Catalyst were to be developed to incorporate all of Vegas Pro's key features, then it might be a really superb NLE. Rewritten code from the ground up with none of the compatibility issues that Vegas must address.

I rely almost totally on Vegas - that's why I signed the petition - but if Catalyst was actually to become BETTER than Vegas that would be great...
EXCEPT it's now gone down the subscription path which kills it for me unless you get to own the software when you can no longer afford the subscription.

I'm just using Vegas until I figure out Resolve. Sony gave up on Vegas first. As much as I hated to, I had to follow. I wish them luck with their new model, but it won't include me.
