Seems they're offering Vegas Pro 2026. Is that a new version of VP23 or just a rebranding?

There is a line in that blog post that says, "The 2026 release introduces major new features across the lineup." They they go on to talk about some new AI features like Enhanced Z-Depth Effect and things like ProRes RAW, and Blackwell GPU support.

It seems like v23 was released not too long ago, so it is probably mostly rebranding with a few of the features they had finished for what would have eventually been v24.

No, It is not a new version of VP23 nor is it a rebranding!

Borisfx Vegas Pro 2026 is the next new upgrade of Vegas Pro, with many improvements and added features.

VP 23 user litteraly get scammed. No one update for VP23 anymore. You have to buy BorisFX Vegas Pro to have update.

To me it's a big shame

Info on the new forum indicates that they are working on migrating vp23 licenses to BorisFX accounts over the next few weeks. I think that means we'll then be able to get the perpetual and subscription updates we've already paid for until Vegas 2027 is released. I've already downloaded the free trial of Vegas 2026 to my laptop and it's definitely an update to vp23.

Yes, I saw that, and I also tried the trial version, which is clearly the update we SHOULD have had.

If our migration is paid, I'll find that disgusting. We haven't had a single fix or build.

Not gonna lie if I had known that before, I would have stayed on VP19.
