Sorry for having to do this - mods, feel free to lock this thread, but please do allow me these last words. The other thread was kindly locked, but please do not appear like Russian officials... :) If there is something we don't want to hear, kill it! Or maybe this is more of a North Korean things...? :) But I digress...

So here it is: there is some very annoying sufficiency from some of long-time users here that drives me - and others I am sure - crazy!! It is sooo annoying to try to express something and always hit this mentality that "no no, everything is alright here!" and "if you don't like it, go play somewhere else!" And of course "these guys have nothing to contribute". Very annoying!

One could also call it "bury your head in the sand".

Please see beyond a very short nose - we are all here user of VEGAS because we LIKE it and want to see it ACTUAL! I for one would be delighted to run out of complaints and problems about VEGAS. I would love to see that and that and that working properly, but it is not the case yet. So, allow me to say "no, not everything is alright!" And for some reason, there are MANY other users who have something to say, as well...

If Vegas does not provide an updated, stabilized and modern program, the competitors will win over users, definitely new users and then who will win anything?

Let me tell you this: Vegas should be by now the NO.1 in the industry, having some great advantages for it, instead some other newer editors managed to get more attention, not always deserved, which is a pity! So, keep your "I don't want to hear it!" attitude and equally, let me - and others - express some dissatisfaction when it is the case, SO THAT THE PROBLEMS ARE KNOWN AND CONSIDERED.

I APPRECIATE THE VEGAS TEAM TREMENDOUSLY, I think they did great and I think there is room to improvement. I don't think they felt in any way offended by my posts, if otherwise, I apologize to them. Honestly! But I couldn't apologize for anything else from what I said here!...

Please recognize the reality. It is already rather good that VEGAS Pro is still alive. Don't expect too much.

 

In 2016, if VEGAS pro was purchased from sony by rich company like BorisFX, FXhome, and your fantasy may come true.

But reality is not. VEGAS team and their parent company don't have too much resource. And magix still maintain 2 pro NLE's development. So, development will not be so big and rapid.

So, Don't expect too much. And switch to other more suitable NLE if Vegas is not able to satisfy your work need any more.

You are preaching to the choir. The users and developers are all well aware of what needs to be done to Vegas in order for it to become the industry standard NLE. They are doing all they can behind the scenes to make that happen, but it's going to be a long road to the top. You don't just snap your fingers and make modern NLE features appear out of thin air. The team has gone through great lengths to try to explain to you (and the vocal minority of users like you who love to point out Vegas' shortcomings) all the reasons why they cannot , and you all tend to ignore them and keep complaining anyway. This is probably why that other thread got locked... We know what you want, they know what you want, you've been heard, so sit back and let them do their thing while understanding that not all of your requests are going to come anytime soon, but many will.
