Tested with vegas 14. Yes, results are different.

Do you think this is a "corner case" or more widespread problem with masks and GPU? I haven't had any problems masking text or other things in the past, but I don't do that a lot.

I work with masks quite often, and I have to switch GPU off... always :(

These are not Pan/Crop masks, these masks use Mask generator effect and Multiply compositing mode - used to create various vfx

hmmm, confirmed here...

Now I'm a bit confused, which one should be the expected output?

GPU ON or OFF version ?? - I guess it is the GPU ON version for this sample case ?

It works as it should when GPU is off

Has anyone reported it?

Is this limited to specific conditions (e.g. Only with mask generator? Only with multiply compositing mode? Only as track FX? Only if invert is applied?). How would you describe it in one concise sentence for the "known issues" thread?

Here's another example: https://www.dropbox.com/s/i1jpw4kav3qkpyc/VEGAS_MASK_BUG2.veg?dl=0

If GPU on, all you see is a black screen. Turn GPU off and you'll see moving text. In this project, Mask generator is applied as Event FX.

Mask generator FX is used with Multiply (Mask) compositing mode - this is how masks can be created.

How would you describe it in one concise sentence for the "known issues" thread?

Maybe, "Mask generator FX with Multiply (Mask) compositing mode do not work if GPU is ON"?

Thanks. Done. Please report this if you haven't done already, even if it's just in brief with a link to this thread. The developers might not have it in their backlog and that's the best way to get it in there.

This is fixed in VP15 build 261. I verified with GPU acceleration using my AMD HD 6970. Thank you Magix 👍
