One A/V track AC3, not synced to video - Other cam is in mono

ChasMc wrote on 12/3/2024, 1:28 PM

Two problems: first track the audio (AC3) isn't synced the video.

Second track is an imported AV that the (Panasonic) cam down mixes 5.1 to stereo. When putting it on the track it puts out all 6 audio tracks with one of the tracks is the stereo tracks combined to mono!

I still have VP19 for the purpose of importing my Panasonic camcorders' videos with.

I opened VP19 and imported those same files in that version. Everything good and normal.

I've never had this problem with past versions before. Same camcorders used.

I reimported the file with the sync issue thru VP19 import instead of coping the files directly from the SD card. It now works like it suppose to be.

Still trying to figure out the other issue.

Above is the same file, but originally put in VP22

I use a Panasonic HDC-TM300 camcorder. I know it's older, but still works good. It down mixes the 5.1 to a stereo output. Always worked in the past. I still use VP19 to import that camcorder.

I was checking the File I/O if any differences. on the VP19 I don't have the Enable legacy AVC decoding checked. On the VP22 I do have the Legacy Enabled.

The issue I had for the second problem was found through tech support. They found a software issue with how it decipher the audio. So now they have to hopefully fix the issue.
