Turned on Vegas with a simple timeline and when I hit the space bar the video will not play. I can move the cursor location with the mouse but nothing will play. Don't think it's my keyboard because I'm typing this message and I can use other functions in Vegas like Ctrl-shift-Q to add a track. Hope someone can help. Thanks.
@Roger Bansemer Are you saying that the play buttons on the preview screen and the timeline don't function? Or is it just your spacebar?

Neither button works nor does the spacebar for playing the events. Opened Vegas 20 and everything works! Preferences is unchecked with the spacebar option as well. Nothing I changed that I know of.

When I pressed ctrl-shift and double clicked the vegas icon, it just opened vegas but did not bring to a reset screen. My vegas icon is on my taskbar. Don't know if that makes a difference.
You can't use the taskbar icon. As the instructions state use the desktop icon or find the program .exe in program files.

@David-Fairweather ... it's now a switchable button just below the Preview Window.
