Possible to scrub and listen to track?

I used to make audio cuts all the time in Premiere 6.5 by using audio scrubbing. It was extremely responsive and easy, especially if you want to cut dialogue. I was very disappointed with the implementation in Vegas, although the suggestion to hold <CTRL> while scrubbing does improve the functionality (thanks Rosebud!).

I also would like to have audio scrubbing when rotating the jog dial on the Contour Shuttle, and no pitch-shift when rotating the shuttle dial.

Paul, you seem to be very intent on "frame accurate" cutting of audio. That is confusing me a little, since one of the nice features of recent versions of Vegas is that audio doesn't have to be cut on frame boundaries. "Frame accuracy" actually limits where you can make the cut. Do you have "Do not quantize to frames for audio-only edits" ticked in the editing preferences? I just want to make sure you haven't missed that feature.

Hi Nick,
"It was extremely responsive and easy, especially if you want to cut dialogue".
Yes, thats what i found too, and its why i like it so much and want this in vegas.

"Paul, you seem to be very intent on "frame accurate" cutting of audio"..
yes i am, sorry if this seems a little dramatic! But I do need to cut to actual precise frames and not just something close to it. (see vid - or run premiere :) I do not need to cut in waveforms for sample accurate audio - my audio is already mixed and done. I am cutting to music or speech.

"Do you have "Do not quantize to frames for audio-only edits"..
tried both on and off. Started tests with it ON.

For fear of repeating what already has been said in earlier posts, I am probably just going to relax from this now and see what SCS say. I have high hopes. Although i can relate to ealier calls for this suggestion and ended up with something different - hmm, hope this doesnt happen again! .

cheers
Paul.
