I had everything working fine with these recording settings until today's vegas 22 update. now i just have one audio dorodge dragging without video exactly with MPEG 4 codec recording. If i change it i have everything dragged but i need MPEG 4

MP4 isn't a video type and there are many variations of video that can go in an mp4 container.

in bandicam itself when i changed to h264 i have the video track open, but the point is that with MPEG 4 codec i recorded all my videos and after a recent vegas update i have this problem that all my old videos lost the video track abruptly.

The problem was solved by rolling back to the previous build.

The edit function and quote a response function do not work on this website. But, quoting my previous comment 1:43 AM, Vegas Pro 22.0 does not read the MP4 it renders itself!! The video is blank even then! I'd guess the underlying codec in Vegas Pro 22.0 is defective. You'd think an easy fix. Product tested?

Your problem will not be solved, if you write again and again the same - but give us no information at all that allows to review more details.

It would be the best to upload such an ORIGINAL file to a webspace, and post here the download link that we can download and can test the original footage.

Hello, everybody
I faced exactly the same problem. The client sent me a huge archive of video, and after updating Vegas videos stopped opening (I think Vegas thinks it is not a video, vegas thinks it is audio).
This is just a disaster :( I had everything working flawlessly before this update.

@Nikita-Nikita Could you please tell me how you rolled back the version ? I don't see such a function. Or just reinstalled Vegas and rejected the update ?

@Wolfgang S. Let me try to provide whatever is necessary so you can pass on the developer and this problem can be fixed as soon as possible please. 🙏

I also have - VEGAS Pro 18 Edit Steam Edition (build 527)
I opened this file in it and everything works fine.

For now I will temporarily stay on it until they fix this problem in Vegas 22, but this problem is very important to fix.
It turns out that I bought a new license for $170, and I can not work in it at all 😕

@Allariel, thank you for providing the Bandicam recorded sample. I'm sure this is similar to @Nikita-Nikita's

I can confirm by default only able to load audio, because it is decoded using newer mxcompoundplug.dll

After going to Options>Preferences>File I/O > and turn on 'Enable legacy AVC decoding', VP22 can open the media again using legacy so4compoundplug.dll decoder.

Use this alternative workflow temporarily for now in VP22b194.

Keep the media for sometimes so that I can also forward the sample to developers.

I concur! There is a serious problem with Vegas Pro build 194 update. All my mp4 videos will no longer load in my project. Please fix this problem ASAP... or give us clear instructions on how we can fix it.

@Precise all my MP4 files do load into B194 without any issues. So unless you plan on giving more information and a sample of the file for testing, how is this supposed to be fixed?
