Problem rendering Magix AVC/AAC MP4 video in Vegas 15 (build 216)

PeterH wrote on 10/5/2017, 8:31 AM

I seem to be having a problem rendering video with these settings. I find that the video renders up to 84% and then stops. It will just hang and not finish the render.

This happens every time I use this codec. I then have Ctrl Alt Del to shut down the program.

Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks

Peter.

Hi Nick,

These are the settings.

I will go through the Faq.

Thanks.

As you're using NVENC, make sure your NVIDIA driver is updated. Pls take a note of the current version and let us know if that is the solution and what the version numbers of the unsuccessful and successful drivers are.

I'm downloading at the moment. I'll report back.

Cheers

Peter.

Well I updated the Nvidea drivers but no improvement. I then went through the Faqs and the one thing that seemed to make a difference was setting the dynamic ram preview to 0.

Once I'd done that I was able to render two videos without any problems. Not sure why this has made a difference but it looks like it's sorted.

Thanks Nick.

Much appreciated.

I have to keep my dynamic ram preview to 0 for renders in Vegas 14 and 15 or I am f*t too. I do not know why this is not thoroughly investigated by Magix/Vegas team as I (we) are not the only ones with this issue. And it is not a new one either.

I agree. Thoroughly annoying. It seems that with this release we're having to try all sorts of things to make certain features work properly.

The fact that this is not a new bug is even more frustrating.
