Problems Importing Adobe After Effects or Premiere Pro Projects

I am trying to import a simple adobe AE project and Vegas throws errors. I tried saving the AE proj as a Premiere Pro project and tried to import that, and it is still throwing errors. I think it has something to do with the source media files. I am pretty new to VegasPro but am a software guy so learn quickly. Any thoughts or articles on how to import without errors?

competing companies do not deliberately make life easier for each other

😜 thank you for your responses. This is unfortunate. I had some professional video editing done for me. They used adobe. If I cant bring it into VegasPro, looks like I will be learning more Adobe Premiere and NOT using VegasPro for it. Im guessing MAGIX didnt think of that. The easier you make it on importing the more you keep your user base. If not, you will lose market share to those people that use other products.I should know, I work for IBM. I wish companies understood the software market better.
