Regions Rename Bug

Ustik wrote on 1/13/2021, 9:35 AM

When you want to rename Marker in Vegas - you can double click and rename it instantly.

This is very handy and saves a lot of time during naming\renaming markers.

When you create a region - you CAN'T rename it with a double click.

Instead, you need to right-click it and choose "rename" from the dropdown menu.

This should be fixed.

@Ustik

Good idea - I'd add it to the Feature Request-thread so that it won't be overlooked.

That's because a double-click selects the region!

When you press "R" to create the region you can rename it immediately. Plus, you can rename all regions/markers in the View - Window - Edit Details screen.

Thanks for the advice! I know that double-clicking selects a region, but it would be smart if it would simultaneously make renaming enabled.

That would be a time waster for me. If I double-click to select the region ,then I would have to get out of the rename box every time... I don't want to rename the region... I just want to select it!

I can understand it working for Markers but can see an issue with using the double-click for that purpose for regions.
