On the bottom of the thread below there is a speculation about the 16th, but not sure about that.

It is strange that there is no date specified, but maybe they are still working on the software and a deadline can't be made.

Plan on September 30th. If it comes out earlier it will be a happy surprise which won't harm you even if you have to wait 15 days for your budget to catch up.

Alternatively plan on September 6th. Then sit on the budgeted money for 25 days if you have too until it is released.

What a strange question.   Just relax, save your pennies, and V14 will be with you at exactly the right time!

Perhaps it's for a birthday.

How will we find out when V14 is released?
Will we get an email or is it going to be mentioned here?

Is this the official Vegas 14 website?

Release date for Vegas Pro 14 is said to be September 20th in latest announcements.

Where did you read that Marco? Officially from Magix?

I did a google search and only found it here: http://www.audiomediainternational.com/business/magix-completes-acquisition-of-sony-creative-software-lines/05839

I wonder why the creative software group is now titled as 'Vegas Creative Software'
It was 'Sony Creative Software' before, so wouldn't it be more logical to call it 'MAGIX Creative Software'?
Then put sub forums like Acid, Vegas, Sound Forge etc just like before.

Because ACID, Sound Forge etc are all part of the 'Creative Software' group.
magixcreativesoftware.com is registered by MAGIX. even thoug it says 404 ot found.

Yes, I read it from K. Schmidt at LinkedIn as well as at several press based web sites, such as at Cision.com (sorry, German only).

It seems to be part of a concerted effort to distance the VEGAS products from the existing MAGIX products. The word "MAGIX" is really being played down in relation to VEGAS. I can sort of understand why, as there is so much potentially confusing overlap between the NLEs.

A good point, Nick.  It might be that other former SCS products might be named Vegas Sound Forge, Vegas SpectraLayers, etc.  As is always the case, time will tell.
