Remove from Group does not work

I have Vegas Pro 14 252. I try to separate audio track from video track by select both tracks and do a group/remove from group as well as 'U'. But neither way works. Please advise. My video track format is MP4.

Also, if auto-ripple (all tracks) it still on after you ungroup the video and audio, they will still move together.

The small icon "ignore event grouping" I find very useful.

I use "ignore event grouping" quite frequently... just go to remember to disengage it afterwards.
