Screen capture

Hey guys,

I'm attempting to screen record so that I can start a YouTube series, when using Vegas Pro 17 I have used these steps and my audio will not record or show that it's active. (Keep in mind I have tested my audio on discord, and other mediums as well to make sure it's active). I open my Project > File > Screen Capture > Record. On the right I see all the audio options and it shows my mic, but no activity on the mic. Please let me know if any of you have had this issue and what the fix for this issue could be.

Thank you!

If I don't respond on here feel free to reach out to me on discord wAkefromVR#1028

There are known issues with the VP's 'screen capture'. Search the Vegas Video Pro forum .. where this query should been in the first place.
FWIW, many folks use OBS (Open Broadcaster Software)

I use V17 Screen Capture all the time for doing "quick and dirty" demo's of using Vegas. However, if you're interested in editing your captures afterward, then OBS is the tool of choice as @rraud suggested. There are many capture options including lossless plus its freeware.

If you have an amd video board, Vegas screen capture probably won't work for you but the ReLive facility that's built into the amd driver works great.
