Software not rendering what I see in the preview.

To start I am not using any heavy load filters, the only thing I use is Video Event FX pan/crop to zoom in on parts of my clips + it's timeline to move the zooms. Absolutely nothing else is used. Rendering Video in 1080x1920. Final video looks like absolute hot mess with cuts and slides moving wherever THE F they want, clipping and speeds messed up. To add - I render with the exact same settings that I use for 2k videos (that render with no issues) except for the "mobile format" video resolution. Can someone explain to me what in the living hell is happening?

@Choody Based on your description, I think you are rendering the mobile format (9:16) in the landscape project (16:9). It's a pity that you should never do this.

When you complete a project, some of the edits you make are based on the current resolution. When you modify it, differences may occur. Having the same aspect ratio might be fine, but when you directly render 16:9 as 9:16, a huge change occurs.

At least, you should change the parameters in Project Properties window to the values in the render template in advance so that you can identify some issues before rendering. After that, we can discuss exactly what caused them.

The key point is, when you want to render 16:9 as 9:16, what exactly do you want it to show? In VP22, there's also an AI feature called Auto Reframe. Here are some discussions about it: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/auto-reframe-vegas-pro-22--147052/

You may have inadvertently added additional Keyframes to Pan/Crop which can do all kinds of movements and such. I have done this many times.

I have rendered the original video again differently, it worked up until about 5 cuts. after that the issues began once again. I am losing patience to this horrid software...

My guess is it may be an issue between VEGAS and the source footage. Can you share details about that ("MediaInfo")?

Could it be the main reason? I did some quick cuts zooms etc and if i rendered into original 4k or FHD there was no jumps and issues, but as soon as I render the same footage exact same cuts into 9:16 all the crazy mess happens again... Is there any way to circumvent this?

Rendering in 9:16 with my computer spec'ed below in my Signature, no issues at all. What specific build of Vegas Pro you are using?

I'm using 315, have you recorded 9:16 or 16:9 originally, my videos are 16:9 and I just want to use cuts from them for the video. Thanks.

I mainly Recorded 4k60fps (which I failed to mention) on Samsung Galaxy S20Ultra with all the unecessary 10bit steady motion (or whatever the name it is) OFF. Then I have rendered the video just in case into 2k and 1080p and everything works fine until I try to get some clips into 9:16 resolution then things just crappen. Even if I start the project this way, firstly add clips that are 9:16 to timeline, tried everything so far. I will try to get some failed render posted soon.

Right, thanks anyone for answering but I guess I will stick to my weird solution, which is to flip the video to 9:16 as a whole, render it this way and then edit it from there which actually works and causes no issues.
