I got Steinberg SpectraLayers 8.0 with a previous Vegas Pro purchase. Never used it nor did I activate it until now. However now I need it, but I can't find the license for it. Not sure what year it was that I got it.
It's not in the My Products page on my Magix account. How do I find it?
You will have to look at your original purchase email from Magix where all the serial numbers are listed along with additional addons. I have SpectraLayers 6.0 that came with VP17 Suite.
Only Magix products are listed in your Magix User Account.
SpectraLayers 8 was released in June 2021 but I can't find it being listed as an extra for the next year and a bit in the Price Watch forum thread - though there may have been a special offer at some time. However, I do recall that SpectraLayers has been offered a number of times as an extra with Sound Forge Pro (including currently with the Suite version). If you bought Sound Forge Pro after June 2021, perhaps check the purchase advice to see if the SpectraLayers serial number is listed in that advice.
BTW, SpectraLayers 11 is leaps and bounds better than pre-SL10 versions (SL10 was a huge advance but Sl11 is a substantial improvement on SL10. Steinberg offer a 30 days free trial without restrictions of SL11 so you could probably use that right now and upgrade to it if you do find the SL8 serial number.
Problemo solved! It was not included in any Vegas purchase, it was part of Samplitude and I found the documentation.
I got SL11 about a month ago as part of an upgrade of Sound Forge 16 to a SF 18 bundle... terrific product well worth the upgrade price.
