Synch Problems

I have a video I recently recorded, it worked perfectly fine with Movie Studio Platinum 13.0, then I recently upgraded to Vegas Pro 15.0 and now near the beginning it tends to skip the loading sequence which should take around 20 seconds, which instead VEGAS Pro 15.0 skips much of the load time, which in turn messes up the entire video as audio gets desynched as well as my webcam I add. Looked all over for a solution to no avail so now I'm posting here. Any feedback is appreciated, thanks in advance!

This is what is happening, the right is the old editing software I used, and the left is the "upgrade" which doesn't work out as well for the time being due to this. Found the source of the problem. The file type I used when it skipped was an Mp4 file, but when I changed it to an AVI it didn't skip. Why would this be a problem and can it be fixed to work with Mp4's? If you still need additional info I can provide it if needed.

As Nick says, we need more info about the file itself. From the symptoms you describe you're likely dealing with an MP4 that uses a variable frame rate -- a compression system that plays heck with video editing programs, often manifesting itself in out of sync issues.

Thanks for the info and sample.

Try disabling so4compoundplug.dll. The audio sync is different after I do that. This might be because your file has a variable frame rate, as reported by MediaInfo. Please let us know if that works.

Does Bandicam allow you to record with a constant frame rate? Or in future you could try using OBS Studio with these settings.

Thanks, that completely fixed my problem, it no longer skips the loading or anything like that when I disabled it.
