Instructions: Save this text block as a *.reg file and double-click it (or import it within the Windows registry editor). To remove some templates, either remove the "S" and "B" pair in advance in a text editor, or (probably easier) delete the templates within Vegas Project Properties after import. Personally I prefix all non-shipped templates with "NH " so that I know what came with the program and what I've added myself.
I can only guess. Only the old SD based PAL and NTSC presets were removed. Maybe because them are rarely used these days. Actually I don't miss them,.
A way to recall is to use that "adopt to media" button at the upper right corner of the Project Properties window to let the Project Properties automatically adopt to the media property of a selected media clip. Then save that new preset. So you are back to a certain preset in a fraction of a minute.
Some of us prepare DVDs for some clients. So I have edited a project in VP16 and how do I render to DVDA with no presets?
edit: Well I don't understand they were not there when I posted this but now they are there????
I *think* I had some custom project properties templates set up in VP16 build 361 (not 100% sure, as I've only recently started using VP16). Now that I've installed build 424, I have no custom project properties templates. Did anyone else lose or retain theirs in this update?
Joelson's .reg file will restore the entries for the old SD templates to the registry, but they don't show up in Vegas. I guess an updated .reg file might do the trick.
Also I can't get my numerous VP15 custom project properties templates over to VP16. The registry export/import procedure no longer works. Anyone know a way to do that without manually re-creating them?
