You're looking for "smart rendering", or "no-recompression rendering".

What format are you shooting? Post a MediaInfo report for a clip, and maybe share a small sample somewhere like Google Drive, Dropbox or mega.nz

If it can't be done in Vegas, it can almost certainly be done in FFmpeg. This is how I do it with my GH4 footage (and it's now a little simpler than that since VP14 fixed the GH4 decoding and FFmpeg fixed the repeat frames at the start).

so some clips like that would be nice to cut a few seconds from at the end or the beginning with out having to re encode and lose anything. that way I can post them to my pond5 stock account

Unfortunately XAVC-S can't be smart-rendered in Vegas Pro. Nothing has changed since this comment from Sony staff in 2014. I just tested with your clip in VP14 and it recompresses.

I also had a quick try with the latest Sony Catalyst Browse with settings matched to the footage but that recompressed it too.

Finally I tried Sony PlayMemories Home 5.3.00 and that will smart trim it. It's a bit Mickey Mouse, and not great if you have a lot of clips to do, but it will trim the files without recompression.

Your other options are presumably doing it in camera off your SD card or adapting my FFmpeg workflow that I linked to above, which will be complicated but might be your only alternative if you have a lot if trimming to do and want to export edited clips from the Vegas timeline.

Not sure what you mean. That workflow was written for VP13.

Or of course you could accept some minor recompression and render in one of the XAVC formats in Vegas. It's not possible to do a bitrate as low as the file from your camera or that can be rendered in Catalyst Browse. Your file is 60Mbps but the Vegas XAVC-S render is 109Mbps.

Recently, I was pleasantly surprised when testing media from a camera that shoots XAVC Intra:

At my age, I can be pleasantly surprised by the same stuff over and over again and it's just as exciting each time.
