Spot's services are VEGAS RELATED and it is in Sony's business interest that he continues to provide those services. What about this do you NOT understand?
BillyBoy wrote on 4/6/2005, 11:58 AM
Cline, as always, you prove you're the forum clown. It was you, more than once, that called me scum and racist. Now, what were you saying about libel?

Then there was the thread where you hinted you would be in Chicago soon, then said you would 'look me up'... was that a thread Cline? Like I said, you're just a clown.

Silly Billy, the contests are about getting people to be creative with Vegas. Every contest until this one has been about Vegas tools. You, just like everyone else, is invited to participate. You download from the VASST site just like others do, so why not show your work? It's anonymous, so you can't claim others would not vote for it because it's your work. You still have 8 days to enter, andyou have a good chance to win, based on your posts about how not to do something. Now is your chance to anonymously show everyone how wonderful your work is. When you win, if you win, you can crow about it all day long while playing with some fun new toys. C'mon Billy, have fun in the sandbox;other kids are.

Billy,

Sony has already weighed in on this. They have no problem with a third party having a Vegas contest. It's amazingly easy to enter the VASST contest and not pay a single penny. And you might even win some software. Or you might see some other works created in Vegas and get some new ideas.

Now here is the point. You are the single biggest problem on this board. I think other people who have gotten into heated arguments here have tried to turn down the heat and the rhetoric and tried to keep some civility on this board, but you keep baiting people. Your reply in the second post on this board could have said. "Please mark posts that are off topic, OT." It could have said "This is an off topic post." Instead it reads, "How many more OFF TOPIC posts are you going to make without indicating they're off topic so people that don't wish to see crap won't waste their time looking at crap?" That read rude and insulting to me and Voila, we wind up at 70 posts because you simply will not let it go. A lot of people on this board can hold different opinions without getting into an argument, they can have a discussion, but you seem intent on pushing towards an argument on anything you disagree with.

As I type this longish post I refreshed the thread to find something that confirms my point.

John Cline, despite his history with you, asks a reasonable question. You in return answer with pointless name calling.

Let's clean the slate. Billy, the problems on this board would go away virtually overnight if you agreed to practice a good-neighbor policy. Will you agree to that? I have been more aware of that lately. I'm sure others would agree to that as well. Because let's face it, this board is lightly moderated. If we don't police ourselves, we face a real possibility that Sony will simply shut this forum down so they don't face unnecessary liability.

So Billy what do you say?

Here's a challenge for you Spot. Stop linking to a page that features advertsing and instead link DIRECTLY to your "contests" page and just maybe I could gain some respect for you.

Its your big chance. Prove Spot really cares and isn't only about making money. Ball is in your count big guy. <wink>

Why does this thread not have a subject?

John_Cline wrote on 4/6/2005, 12:17 PM
BB: "Then there was the thread where you hinted you would be in Chicago soon, then said you would 'look me up'... was that a thread Cline?"

No, Bully, it wasn't a "thread", it was a single message IN a thread. You see, when a series of messages are posted sequentially on a forum, it is commonly called a "thread." A single message does not necessarily constitute a thread.

I think Frigid edited out his subject, so people would be less likely to click on the topic, but we all found a way to get around that.

Spot, I've got a great idea for a new book: "How To Be Unprofessional And Win Grammys." ;-)

Billy, what do you accomplish by ranting in here constantly? If you don't like someone's post, hit the "back" button and move on.

Mark me down as one of those "cheerleaders" who appreciates the personal time that industry leaders devote to helping us out in here...

So John, when you coming to visit? We can do lunch. From the tone you always have with me you must like raw meat. But which kind, beef, fish something else?

What do you mean, what does he accomplish by ranting? He's as famous as Spot now and he likes the attention.

John -- I think BB was suggesting that you were "threadening" him. You know, hinting at corporeal mayhem of some sort...

A simple spellcheck failure, it appears...

BB,"Yep, the religious right sure got some characters. For a group that's suppose to be all about love and forgiveness, history shows us as a group, Christians are responsible for starting more wars and causing more death down through the centuries than any other "religious" group. How amusing." You need to do better research, you view is a political correct "fact". It excludes all the wars/blood shed thru out the third world. There is no doubt that a lot of wars in old Europe that had a lot of causes, with religion as one of them. Christain groups rarely kill other, a claim that many religions can not state. Do you remember 1980 Iran? India and Its nieghbors? A simple review warfare in the mideast, asia, africa, etc.... shows a very bloody path that many religions have and are travelling.

Ouch, ouch, ouch......we need an OT guerilla ranter forum - badly (and sadly).
Is anybody really getting off on this stuff ? - it seems so.

I suppose now I'm one of THEM - since I've taken the bait and put in my 2 bucks worth. huh?
lili

P.S. as bad as they are, (perhaps) I must admit to you all, there are some very witty and wise opinions expressed.
bStro wrote on 4/6/2005, 1:22 PM
HOW did all this come out of a statement to vote in a Vegas video contest being held by the VASST site?

*shrug* I'm still trying to figure out why a message about a VEGAS contest is off-topic on a VEGAS forum.
