I installed the K-Lite Codec pack after having issues importing folders, thought that it could be a missing codec, have uninstalled K-Lite

@robertOZ I'm not sure what you mean by 'importing folders', but I don't think codecs have anything to do with folders, codecs help your PC open certain file types. Folders can contain & be opened that have in them unsupported files that your PC can't deal with, the problem or the codec comes in to play when you try to open an unsupported file.

Comments on the net say things like 'installing K-Lite can change other things on your PC'. So just uninstalling might not be good enough, if you have just installed Windows have a look & see if it created a System Restore point after initial instalment & before you installed K-Lite.

Then if you still can't 'import folders' post back on here, I'm sure someone might have a clue how to help 👍.

@robertOZ Is your desktop also Win 11 and VP22 B248?

Yes the desktop is also win 11 home with VP22 B248 installed

Gid, at this time no restore points have been created, Attached is a screen shot showing folders successfully imported into the desktop, on the laptop I can only import the contents of the folders one at a time which is not practicable, what possible reason could there be for not being able to import the same folders to the laptop, it's been a long time since those folders were imported to the desktop, maybe I've forgotten the correct way to install them.

@robertOZ Hi, sorry I don't know, It sounds like a Windows thing, maybe right click the folder Properties & see what the security/permissions say. ?

With both Vegas Pro 21 and 22 on my Windows 11 24H2 laptop, I've tried moving a folder to the Favourites folder using the Vegas Explorer window - it does not work. Attempting copy/pasting resulted in a crash.

Doing the same folder move (to Favourites as well as to another C drive folder) on an old Windows 10 desktop using Vegas Pro 17 also did not work.

Before clean installing your computer to Windows 11, were you able to successfully move folders to the Favourites folder using the Vegas Explorer window?

I should add that I am fully aware that the Vegas Explorer window in Vegas Pro 22 is a new development from Vegas Explorer windows in previous Vegas Pro versions but to my understanding, Vegas Pro 22's Explorer window is not a clean and direct reference to the Windows Explorer window; rather, it is a closer reference to Windows Explorer but is Vegas-centric in that it has an 'Actions' column added that is not part of Windows Explorer, and new and old Vegas Explorer windows have never been able to access OneDrive that is able to be accessed in Windows Explorer.

I've always used the Add to Favorites option which works, but I just tried copy n paste from Windows or/& the Vegas Explorer & nope it doesn't work for me.
