Unable to switch from trial to licensed copy of Platinum version

I just purchased the full license for Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 13.0. I have a Windows 10 - 64bit machine. When clicking on the software, it comes up saying that my trial has expired, and prompts for a serial number. I enter the serial number I received upon purchase. The software says that it needs to restart. It does restart, but brings up the same exact prompt.

I am unable to start the software. I had no problem with the trial version. Please help.
