Honestly I don't have experience with this problem and do not own an iPhone.

Here's a workaround which may help. Download Voukoder (not Pro) and the connector for 17. Render to Voukoder using the x264 template. Test the file on your iPhone.

@RogerS I found a tutorial here, downloaded wokoder and the connector (circled in the screenshot) but other templates like those from the tutorial are not shown to me, only the ones that I circled from the tutorial so only 3 templates once Project Audio default, Project Audio none and Audio only. Is what I downloaded correct or not? ^^

Ill followed this tutorial:

maybe possible if someone have time so i could get in contact and share my screen so it can be better checked if something maybe is wrong with my files or vegas? :c

Good tutorial, just hit customize template and you can tweak it. I'd use x264 at CRF of say 17 (default is 21) for high quality output.

It defaults to project resolution which in this case is 720p, right?

If you can make a short/simple project available for download happy to render it but I still don't get why it would work on the computer but not the phone. Any iPhone user forums where people see such an issue with YouTube?

@RogerS lemme try it with vegas pro 18 maybe it codes it much better... if you have maybe a solution for vegas pro 18 would be nice to test it if its now still not working :(

RogerS wrote on 5/23/2024, 4:14 AM

I don't know. Voukoder and MagixAvc should both give good renders with 18 too. I use 19 and 21.

jurivic-t wrote on 5/23/2024, 4:31 AM

@RogerS do you may have some solutions for vegas 19?

with 18 also not working, then ill try it with 19 ^^

RogerS wrote on 5/23/2024, 4:50 AM

No, these versions of VEGAS are all very similar.

jurivic-t wrote on 5/23/2024, 5:05 AM

With Vegas 18 also the same issue… 😮‍💨

don’t know what’s to do..

maybe it’s the media source which I used, the Titel of the media source for editing calls: (WEBRip 1080p Hi10P AAC) RAW [4DE7B8B8]

Ill found also an article about it, but idk i dont understand anything im too dummie...

https://kokomins.wordpress.com/2019/10/10/anime-encoding-guide-for-x265-and-why-to-never-use-flac/

That’s maybe the problem or?

RogerS wrote on 5/23/2024, 5:47 AM

Make sure quantize to frames is enabled and in internal preferences you can show unquantized frame borders in red. Just a guess if this would do anything but it's good editing practice anyway.

jurivic-t wrote on 5/23/2024, 5:51 AM

okay lemme try it also out, ill found another tutorial for encoding the media source which i used.

should i encode first the episodes and then replace them in vegas or should i better ecoding in this way (tutorial) my editing directly? what would be better to do?

In the past, I created an audio sync test that might aid your analysis. It can be found in this thread.

Download From Here

For the source I'm not familiar with Hi10P but didn't you say you also converted it with Handbrake?

jurivic-t wrote on 5/23/2024, 6:02 AM

@RogerS Ye I’ll had done it before but not like saying in the article and tutorial to convert it in x265 10bit I’ll converted it before to x264

should I better convert the episodes and replace em or the editing first?

jurivic-t wrote on 5/23/2024, 6:05 AM

that’s the presets which they showed to use idk if it can fix it to convert the episodes and replace em or try it with my editing 😮‍💨

RogerS wrote on 5/23/2024, 7:02 AM

If you want to try converting one start with the "production standard" preset not the fast one. VEGAS isn't necessarily great at editing h265 vs h264 though.

Then in VEGAS under project media right-click and "replace media" and point it to the converted file.

jurivic-t wrote on 5/23/2024, 9:21 AM

@RogerS still doesnt work.. everytime it works completly fine and smooth with every single methode but on i phones not...

In Voukoder which coder should i choose then, x264 or x265?

ill tried it now with x265 :(

RogerS wrote on 5/23/2024, 9:42 AM

I don't think the codec is the issue?

jurivic-t wrote on 5/23/2024, 10:02 AM

Then imma ran out of tries, idk what can I do… it’s only I phone…

If videos you uploaded to Youtube play OK on everything else except your iPhone, then I would suspect the iPhone itself is the key to your problem. I would try rebooting your iPhone, checking the signal bandwidth, trying a different iPhone player if one is available, and finally, reinstalling your player app. Does the problem occur with more than one video or just this one? There may even be a difference with upstream server feeds.

Note that no two playback methods are exactly the same, and sync differences happen even between two players on the same PC. You may be particularly sensitive to small differences because you created the video and know how it originally was on your computer. This is called referential memory.

I would suggest putting this whole thing down for three weeks without looking at it, and then picking it up again and seeing it again with fresh eyes and ears.

No matter how you create a video, Youtube changes it to its own format, nothing you can do. If that result pleases you on one device or player and not on another, the differences must lie downstream of Youtube's servers, and you should focus your efforts in that direction, rather than on what happened before Youtube got ahold of it. Good luck.

ergo propter hoc

jurivic-t wrote on 5/23/2024, 1:22 PM

Finally I found a way to fix it, it’s generally an iOS issue, found this video to reset the videoplayer and now everything works fine

Feel free to mark on of the replies as The Solution, if you wish.

RogerS wrote on 5/23/2024, 7:12 PM

That actually makes sense. It had to be an issue with the phone/player.
