I installed v300 a couple of weeks back, but only just noticed that the smart features aren't showing - upscale and smart mask. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the DLM, but still not there. I have AMD 5900x + 6700xt GPU. Windows 11.
Previously deleting some dll files helped bring it back, but they're still gone and it's vanished.
Glad of any guidance. Keen to use the upscale on a short notice project.
Maybe you didn't install Deep Learning Models 21.2.0.0 whose link was also in the announcement? Once installed it should look like this when you open up the Vegas folder in the FX plugin chooser and then click on the AI folder:
Thankyou @Howard-Vigorita I had installed the Models but not spotted the name change. Was still looking under U for Upscale! All fine.
@Howard-Vigorita Hi, just curious, are you still using an older version of VP, this is what my AI list looks like.
@Former user Looks like I got one more fx than you. Just double checked and I am using 21.2.0.0 of DLM. Opening it, the name comes up as AI Smart Mask 2.0. Only thing custom about my setup is that I have Smart Mask, Smart Zoom, and Smart Upscale enabled in Deprecated Features. I also have Vegas Effects installed. I've never really used this fx but I see it's in the online help here.
@Howard-Vigorita I did notice that Smart Mask had disappeared, it didn't bother me & I just presumed the Vegas team had finally admitted that first version was a bit crap, I had reset Vegas & looking now it must be set by default as Off. I didn't look into it too deeply tho, you know I reset Vegas - went through the preference tabs quickly putting things back as i like not really reading the other stuff 😏
Smart Mask 02 is a lot better but still has issues, mainly render & mask creation. I got an email a short while ago saying 'Update 3' & was eager to see if that had improved but Vegas - Help - check for updates says there's is no update 😒 maybe it'll come through in the morning or after the PC has been restarted.
I have V Post 19 (VP19 & Effects) still installed.
